Fire Safety Systems Technician Description
  • This position is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Safety Systems Technician.
  • The Fire Safety Systems Technician will handle daily responsibilities such as diagnosing issues, providing technical support, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction in fire and security systems.
  • The role requires coverage of the North West region.
  • Call-out compensation is £210 per week, with £30 per day. Time and a half for hours worked up to midnight, and double time for hours worked after midnight.
  • Call-out duty is on a 1 in 6 weeks rotation.
  • Travel time is compensated door-to-door, excluding 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.
  • There are ample opportunities for overtime.
  • Technicians are expected to provide their own hand tools.

Requirements
  • Minimum of FIA Training 123.
  • Gent Training certification.
  • Experience in Field Service and Technical Support.
  • Proficient in Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in the fire protection and security sector is advantageous.
  • Relevant technical certifications or qualifications.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Fire & Security Engineering: Proven track record in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarms and security systems. Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with installations, troubleshooting, and commissioning are essential.
