Industrial Officer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Officer to join our team at the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS). As an Industrial Officer, you will play a key role in building union power and promoting the interests of our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to encourage participation and recruitment of new members, particularly from under-represented groups.
  • Co-ordinate and work with committees to achieve union goals and objectives.
  • Represent PCS members in industrial relations and negotiations with management.
  • Advocate and represent members' interests in various forums and meetings.
  • Project manage campaigns and initiatives to promote union objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience in encouraging participation and recruitment of new members, particularly from under-represented groups.
  • Co-ordinating and working with committees to achieve union goals and objectives.
  • Industrial relations and negotiations experience.
  • Advocacy and representation skills.
  • Project management skills, including campaigning.
