About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and supportive team at Robert Walters. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in managing a diverse client portfolio, supporting the development of junior team members, and enhancing accounting workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of jobs within the accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the management team and Principals of the firm, contributing to the development of junior team members.
  • Account Review and Finalization: Review and finalize accounts under the guidance of the Senior Manager and Principals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare Corporate Tax Returns for FRS 105 clients, utilizing expertise in accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and maintain efficient accounting workflows and processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of the team.
  • Mentorship and Development: Assist in the development and mentorship of junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
  • Client Relationships: Build and manage strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified with 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of accounting standards and both direct and indirect taxes.
  • Software Proficiency: Significant experience with Xero accounting software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Mentorship Experience: Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff, with a focus on their growth and development.
  • Team Player: A proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
