About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Assessor to join our team at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate. As a key member of our Pharmaceuticals Section, you will be responsible for assessing pharmacological, toxicological, and microbiological data provided by pharmaceutical companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess new Marketing Authorisations (MAs), Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), and extensions and variations to MAs/MRLs
  • Write comprehensive assessment reports on the pharmacology and toxicology of new active substances, as well as user risk
  • Develop and present training materials to share knowledge with colleagues and external clients

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in pharmacology, toxicology, or a similar discipline
  • Experience evaluating scientific data and producing comprehensive assessment reports
  • Ability to work to strict timelines and present scientific data and conclusions to colleagues and stakeholders
