Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our maternity team as a Midwifery Team Leader. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our maternity services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of midwives to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of our maternity services, including the design and implementation of new care models and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A registered midwife qualification with the NMC.
  • Significant experience working at band 6 or above.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification recognized by the NMC.
  • Further leadership/management related qualification or training.
  • Post-registration qualification preferably in specialty area.
  • 3 years post-registration midwifery experience.
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and its application to the management of staff and self.
