Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are working with Primary Schools in North Somerset to find a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and in general classroom settings.

This is an ad-hoc opportunity, allowing you to choose your working hours and days. You will have the chance to work in various classrooms, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2, and support a range of pupils.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with Class Teachers to assess children's development, support small group interventions, and provide general support throughout the classroom.

We are looking for individuals who are experienced or looking to start their careers in a school setting. You will be expected to be flexible, approachable, and calm, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers to assess children's development.
  • Support with small group interventions.
  • Opportunity to work 1:1 with SEND children.
  • Opportunity to provide general support throughout the classroom with all pupils.
