Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming Primary School in the Chessington area. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be able to provide support to a child with Autism (ASD) in Year 3.

The role will involve supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons, providing one-to-one support to the child with ASD, and contributing to the overall well-being of the class. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing one-to-one support to the child with ASD
  • Contribute to the overall well-being of the class and provide a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve the best possible outcomes for students
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with children with SEN, preferably in a Primary School setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
