Job Title: Senior Chartered Surveyor

Join the Norse Group team as a Senior Chartered Surveyor and contribute to the delivery of asset management and valuation services to meet prescribed targets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake valuations of all types of property transactions as required by the client.
  • Conduct the Council's annual cycle of Asset Valuations in compliance with Authority's Financial Regulations, RICS Red Book, and CIPFA guidance.
  • Ensure the effective management of surplus property pending disposal and proactive management of the client's non-operational property portfolio.
  • Undertake general estate management duties as and when required by the wider team due to caseload.
  • Deputise for the Head of Asset Management and Valuation and other team members as and when required.
  • Supervise and train team members to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Travel frequently to other offices and sites as required.
  • Comply with the Group ISO standards and promote continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in estates-related discipline.
  • Sound knowledge of valuation methodology and all property valuation techniques.
  • Experience of working within or with local authorities and/or large public sector organisations.
  • Experience of coaching and supervising others within professional organisations.
  • Full UK driving license to meet the travel requirements of the role.
