Position Overview:

As a result of the company's expansion, there is a need for a proficient and enthusiastic Service Engineer to enhance the existing service team.

The Service Engineer will be crucial in guaranteeing the smooth operation, upkeep, and installation of machinery at various client locations.

As a vital representative of the organization, the Service Engineer will maintain the company's standards of excellence in customer service and technical proficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Employing various strategies and tools to deliver effective solutions to client concerns.
  • Engaging with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Timely follow-up on service requests and provision of customer feedback.
  • Monitoring machinery performance and developing preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Conducting demonstrations to educate customers on safe and effective equipment usage.
  • Managing inventory and reordering materials as necessary.
  • Leading the installation, commissioning, and training of machinery with clients (either on-site or at customer locations).
  • Wiring and labeling machinery.
  • Constructing pneumatic circuits.
  • Performing continuity testing for machinery, including final testing before dispatch.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for programming machinery, coordinating feedback and changes with the programmer, followed by testing.
  • Composing reports, manuals, and regularly presenting findings to management.
  • Assisting the manufacturing team with the assembly and testing of machinery, which includes fitting and the use of hand tools.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for troubleshooting customer machinery and providing guidance.
  • Offering on-site support for electrical and maintenance issues.
  • Providing both remote and on-site technical support and diagnostics.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling professional interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to client locations for installations and maintenance tasks.
  • Detail-oriented approach to documentation and record-keeping.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
