About the Role

TPF Recruitment, a leading agency in accountancy recruitment, is representing a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants seeking an Intermediate Financial Accountant to enhance their team. This position offers a comprehensive role within a general practice, encompassing various aspects of accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, and VAT compliance.

The firm, known for its multi-site operations, has a strong presence in the accountancy sector and is committed to fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. They are looking for an individual who is either pursuing AAT or ACCA qualifications or has relevant experience in the field.


Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of statutory accounts up to the review stage.
  • Assisting in the production of management accounts.
  • Handling personal and corporate taxation, along with VAT returns.
  • Performing general bookkeeping tasks using software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff and trainees.

Candidate Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Currently studying AAT / ACCA or qualified through experience.
  • Hands-on experience in accounts, taxation, and VAT preparation.
