About the Role
The University of Essex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join our Academic Section. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the University's compliance with student immigration regulations and related Safeguarding obligations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support institutional compliance with evolving internal and external developments
• Provide leadership and management for the International Services team
• Deliver training and briefings to students, colleagues, and teams
• Manage budgets and support the resolution and escalation of complex student casework
• Contribute to the successful operation of the Academic Section
Requirements
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent understanding of UK Higher Education immigration compliance requirements
• Ability to think strategically while balancing operational delivery
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues
