Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to become a vital part of our accomplished team at Winvic Construction Ltd, a versatile main contractor renowned for delivering construction projects across the nation.
Reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead and collaborate within a team, ensuring the successful execution of our industrial projects, which range from £5 million to over £100 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Participate in post-tender and pre-contract discussions.
- Review contract documents to safeguard the company's interests.
- Prepare subcontract tender packages and conduct contractual evaluations.
- Oversee our established network of supply chain subcontractors.
- Evaluate contract risks and collaborate with the site team to devise and implement mitigation strategies.
- Attend both internal and external commercial review meetings.
- Submit client valuations and manage the variation account.
- Handle the commercial elements of the contract.
- Manage subcontract accounts from procurement through to final account.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of claims for variation works.
- Monitor commercial performance against business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with group commercial policies and relevant legislation.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience managing individual or multiple projects.
- Experience in industrial, high-rise multi-room, or retail scheme projects valued above £10 million.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of construction practices, teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm.
