About Worn Again Technologies:

We're a pioneering company dedicated to revolutionizing the textile industry by developing innovative recycling technologies. Our mission is to create a circular economy where resources are constantly in circulation.

Our team is passionate about tackling the challenge of textile waste and plastics. We're working tirelessly to develop and commercialize our proprietary recycling technology, which can separate polycotton blends and extract raw materials from non-reusable textiles.

Role:

We're seeking a highly skilled Graduate Chemist to join our R&D team in Nottingham. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, collaborating with engineers, and contributing to the development of our recycling technology.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a range of laboratory experiments to progress our R&D goals and business objectives.

• Work closely with our engineering team to support technology scale-up and ensure seamless integration.

• Assist in producing high-quality risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and SOPs to maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

• Manage project timelines and laboratory upkeep, ensuring the smooth operation of our R&D department.

Requirements:

• A BSc in Chemistry or a related subject.

• Strong theoretical and practical skills in experimental design and implementation.

• A creative and rigorous approach to problem-solving, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for collaboration.

Desirable:

• MSc/MPhil qualification in chemistry or a related natural science.

• Practical experience in handling, synthesis, and characterization of polymers.

Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom

Reports to: R&D Laboratory Manager

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
