Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing

360 Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall Technical, Hygiene, and Animal Welfare functions are compliant with customer, certification body, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting all site departments to ensure compliance with customer, certification body, and legislative requirements.
  • Regularly reviewing and reporting on cost effectiveness.
  • Ownership and maintenance of site Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensuring staff have received relevant training in relation to their role and tasks.
  • Reporting KPIs and site compliance to the SMT and Group as required.
  • Liaising with the FSA and other enforcement authority representatives.
  • Enhancing customer focus and ensuring all requests are dealt with appropriately.
  • Verification of root cause analysis, effective corrective and preventative actions arising from non-conformances.
  • Developing and enhancing company policies, systems, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Technical management experience is an advantage.
  • Must have experience of working in a technical capacity in the food industry.
  • Should have a science-based degree or equivalent relevant training and experience.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
