Accounts Receivable Subject Matter Expert (SME)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Glascoed for an initial period of 6 months, with the potential for an extension or permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

Role Overview:

The AR SME will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts receivable processes, with a strong focus on process optimisation, compliance, and systems management. This position requires a candidate with extensive experience in AR, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Oversight: Oversee the accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
  • Collaboration and Optimisation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the AR function and standardise the Sales to Cash process.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and support to the AR team, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • System Implementation: Support the implementation of new systems or process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and legal regulations.
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide insights and reporting on AR metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in accounts receivable, ideally at a senior or SME level.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of AR systems, processes, and automation tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Due to the nature of the site, candidates must have lived in the UK for over 5 years and be able to obtain Security Clearance.
