This position supervises the in-store Visual Merchandising team at our flagship location and collaborates closely with the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager to ensure uniformity across our retail spaces. The role necessitates strategic foresight, adapting to business and market dynamics while consistently challenging the norms of retail artistry. It also encompasses managerial responsibilities, focusing on nurturing and developing a premier Visual Merchandising team while optimizing efficiencies across all functions. The ideal candidate will possess a refined aesthetic sensibility. You will excel in planning, organizing, and motivating teams, and be comfortable engaging a diverse array of stakeholders, including brand partners, contractors, and senior management.

As the Visual Merchandising Manager, your responsibilities will include:


• Overseeing a substantial budget while enhancing efficiency and creative impact.


• Advocating for sustainable practices and advancing eco-friendly solutions.


• Elevating the aesthetic quality and 'wow factor' throughout the store concerning styling direction and creative displays.


• Upholding visual merchandising standards to a world-class benchmark.


• Comprehending the customer journey to ensure the store is intuitive, while creating moments of surprise and delight.


• Crafting a seamless shopping experience for our clientele by understanding and ensuring appropriate product and brand placements, as well as fixture arrangements, in alignment with the store's vision.


• Proficiently presenting creative strategies to the Visual Presentation Director.


• Being a collaborative and motivating leader, unlocking the creative potential within your team.


• Grasping the Selfridges brand ethos and guiding your team to respond to these principles effectively.


• Addressing Creative Direction briefs with practical yet creatively exceptional solutions that are on-brand, within budget, and adhere to timelines.


• Ensuring your team consistently complies with trading standards, health & safety regulations, and security protocols.

Candidate Profile

Extensive background in Visual Merchandising or a related discipline.


• Proven success in cultivating highly efficient and capable teams.


• Demonstrated experience in balancing commercial objectives with creative integrity.
