Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing (North)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) professional to lead our team in the Northern area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the highest levels of HS&W performance and culture throughout the region, working closely with the Director of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and the Building and Infrastructure senior leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HS&W, with experience of leading teams and driving improvement initiatives. They will be a member of IOSH, working towards Chartered Status, and have a competent understanding of root cause analysis and behavioural psychology.

The role will involve managing a team of HS&W professionals, providing technical support to complex construction and civil engineering projects, and developing and implementing HS&W strategies to achieve industry-leading performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HS&W team in the Northern area

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Mental Health First Aider
