Job Title: Female Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to a delightful lady with cerebral palsy and a learning disability in her own home in the Crantock, Cornwall area.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a client-centred and integrated team, providing personal and domestic care, moving and handling, including hoisting, carrying out therapy programmes, accessing therapeutic activities, and social and leisure outings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care and support to the client, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores.
  • Supporting the client with mobility and transferring, including the use of hoists and other equipment.
  • Participating in therapy programmes and activities to promote the client's physical and emotional well-being.
  • Accompanying the client on social and leisure outings, including shopping and community activities.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of caring for people with physical and/or learning disabilities.
  • Full driving licence and ability to drive the client's car.
  • Positive interest in active rehabilitation and a desire to enable the client to reach her full potential.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with the client, her family, and other professionals involved.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.

As a Female Support Worker with Active Care Group, you will be employed directly by the client, with Westcountry Case Management overseeing all aspects of the client's care package.
