Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Lorien. The successful candidate will work closely with the product owner to understand business needs and goals, and will be responsible for conducting analysis work to identify future state operating models through process and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Work closely with the product owner to understand business needs and goals, and to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Analysis Work: Conduct analysis work to identify future state operating models through process and technology, and to understand current state processes.
  • Workshops and Meetings: Facilitate workshops to elaborate Epics and capture and document user story mapping and user stories.
  • Backlog Management: Actively manage backlog stories with the product owner, ensuring prioritization and refinement of stories.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders to identify and document non-functional requirements as user stories.
  • Project Support: Contribute to project development, including proposals, requirements, and project documentation.
  • Requirements Elicitation: Elicit further requirements and test/challenge assumptions using a variety of methods, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, and business process descriptions.
  • Change Management: Identify the relationships, dependencies, and impacts of change on multiple systems and processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team quarterly planning and set expectations for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
  • Backlog Maintenance: Support the creation and maintenance of the backlog, including prioritization and acceptance criteria.

Requirements:

  • Data Experience: Solid data experience, having worked on data requirements, data flows, and a solid understanding of data lineage.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in both process changes programs and new implementations, particularly in the Insurance industry.
  • Methodologies: Experience of working with agile methodologies and business analysis methodologies.
  • Skills: BPMN or similar business process modeling skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with Rulebook technology (nice to have).
