Senior Instrumentation Design Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Lead Instrument Designer to contribute to our client's project execution within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.

This role will be part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary engineering team, supporting Tullow Oil on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and technical leadership in all aspects of instrumentation design.
  • Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems into overall project designs.
  • Develop detailed instrument specifications, drawings, and documentation adhering to industry standards and client requirements.
  • Utilize advanced CAD/D software to create precise and comprehensive instrument layouts and schematics.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses to identify potential design issues and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum ISCED level 5 short-cycle tertiary education in an engineering discipline.
  • Hold valid Offshore Certifications and demonstrate a willingness to work offshore.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of materials, methods, and best practices within the instrumentation design field.
  • Possess a strong grasp of engineering principles, practices, and relevant documents such as engineering standards and P&IDs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in CAD/D software applications.
