About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Illicit Finance Governance Adviser at The Economist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our efforts to combat illicit finance and promote international economic integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to prevent and combat illicit finance, including money laundering and terrorist financing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial crime risks, and develop effective counter-measures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and other stakeholders on illicit finance-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and developments in the field of illicit finance, and identify opportunities for The Economist to take a leadership role in promoting international cooperation and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, and other organizations involved in the fight against illicit finance.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in illicit finance, financial crime prevention, and/or anti-money laundering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
- Strong understanding of international economic and financial systems, including the role of governments, financial institutions, and other stakeholders in promoting economic integrity.
