Associate Director, Sustainable Procurement Lead

Maxim Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Sustainable Procurement to join our client's team in Bristol. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for leading sustainable procurement initiatives and developing strategies to meet clients' social and environmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies across multiple projects and commissions.
- Lead project teams and play a key role in large-scale transformation programs.
- Provide management, challenge, and guidance to colleagues on client projects and commissions.
- Identify, design, deliver, and continually improve clients' environmental performance to meet targets across key sustainability themes.
- Lead the development of sustainable procurement services and propositions.
- Contribute to business generation of sustainable procurement opportunities.
- Proven experience in sustainable procurement strategy development and implementation.
- Strong project team management ethos and ability to lead delivery and transformation programs.
- Experience of embedding ISO 20400 (Sustainable Procurement) into procurement operations is desirable.
- Strong understanding of wider ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable.
- Confident, independent, and able to work autonomously without supervision.
- Ability to manage work/business development/career development activities.
- Hold a Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or higher.
- Competitive salary up to £85,000 (DOE).
