About the Role

We are seeking two experienced rowing coaches to join our team at Barn Elms Boathouse. As an Assistant Junior Rowing Coach, you will play a key role in supporting the lead coaches with the organisation and coaching of our junior squad.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead coach with managing the athletes within the competitive junior squad.
  • Coach on the junior community sessions, which are a key pathway to the competitive squad.
  • Deliver high-quality sessions following the GB Rowing Team technical model, How much how often guidance, and Rower development guide.
  • Assist with the organisation and running of training camps.
  • Prepare crews and equipment to be competitive at both local and major national events.
  • Assist the lead coach with crew selection.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.
Requirements
  • Work with your line manager to identify your own support needs and undertake continual personal and professional development.
  • Comply with Enable's Codes of practice and conduct, including policies and procedures concerning data protection, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Be committed to the promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion for others, both colleagues and clients.
  • Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity and their identity and culture are valued and respected.
  • Report any instances of inappropriate behaviour or discrimination.
  • Ensure data is kept securely in line with data protection law and Enable LC's procedures.
