Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a healthcare assistant to join our team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Our Same Day Emergency Care Unit incorporates Medical and Frailty specialities as well as Medical Day Case Unit.

Main Responsibilities

Support the nurse with assessing and delivering care to patients across all areas of the unit while working within your scope of practice.

Assist patients with meeting their personal and hygiene needs, as well as ensuring their dietary needs are met.

Help the ward clerk with admitting and discharging patients.

Ensure the unit is kept clean and tidy, and assist with stock rotation and re-stocking of assessment trolleys.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 in Health/Care or equivalent acute healthcare experience
  • English and Math's GCSE grade 9-2 (A*- E)
  • Willingness to undertake any training or development relevant to the role
