Lead the Health, Safety & Sustainability Agenda at Mondelez International's Chirk Plant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Lead to champion our commitment to safety and sustainability at our renowned Chirk confectionery plant. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HS&E programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering a culture of safety excellence throughout the site.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and HSE Cluster Director to establish annual Safety & Environment and Sustainability improvement plans for the Chirk site.
  • Develop and execute a robust HS&E strategy for the site, engaging with Manufacturing Sections and participating in management reviews. Coach and mentor the Factory Leadership Team at all levels, guiding them in delivering their local HS&E agendas.
  • Lead and inspire the HS&E Specialist team, providing ongoing support and guidance to the wider site workforce.
  • Drive the implementation of Mondelez International's Safety, Security, and Environment Standards, ensuring best practices are adopted across the entire plant. Develop and implement standardized action plans to address identified risks and opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in HS&E processes and procedures. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established standards.
Your Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in health, safety, and environmental management within a manufacturing environment.

You will possess:

  • A strong understanding of relevant HS&E legislation and regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive HS&E programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to risk management.
