About the Role

This position within the Specialist Support Team presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we assist. We are looking for a candidate with experience in crafting, executing, and integrating person-centered assessments and interventions aligned with Positive Behavior Support methodologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Modeling and serving as a resource for best practices in supporting individuals through a Positive Behavior Support framework across the organization.
  • Conducting functional assessments, analyzing data, developing PBS strategies and plans, and implementing them based on mediator analysis.
  • Ensuring all assessments are person-centered, comprehensive, and accurately address risk factors.
  • Enhancing local offerings through training and coaching in PBS.
  • Supporting the expansion of services for individuals at risk of exclusion from universal services and hospital admission.

About You

To be considered for the role of Positive Behavior Support Practitioner, you must possess:

  • A relevant qualification in Psychology, Positive Behavior Support, or a related field
  • A solid understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and autism, including complex health needs
  • Experience in conducting functional assessments and designing PBS strategies
  • A proven ability to analyze data, develop support plans, and collaboratively enhance quality of life
  • The capacity to build strong relationships founded on trust and respect
