Role Overview

As a Service Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our service department, supporting the Service Supervisors in optimizing the performance of our service teams. Your organizational skills and effective communication will be essential in managing workloads and addressing customer service needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Service Supervisor in the smooth operation of the service teams.
  • Oversee the servicing process for our regional customers, including:
    • Regularly monitoring service requirements through our tracking systems.
    • Initiating service requests and managing parts identification and procurement.
    • Coordinating and assigning tasks to Routine Maintenance Engineers in collaboration with the Service Supervisor.
    • Conducting inspections and preparing customer quotes.
    • Processing service jobs for invoicing upon completion.
    • Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in partnership with the Service Supervisor.
    • Supporting the PSSR in generating customer quotes as needed.
    • Managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
    • Performing data entry and general administrative tasks.
    • Organizing and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a workshop or field-based environment.
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure with excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in IT applications.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant products is a plus.
