Job Title: PLM Technical Lead

Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited is seeking a highly skilled PLM Technical Lead to join our Digital Performance Technologies (DPT) department. As a key member of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM and Manufacturing Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and guidance to the Manufacturing team, ensuring seamless collaboration between IT and Manufacturing.
  2. Mentor and train team members on PLM systems and processes, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  3. Lead project-based work, focusing on process development, improvement, and system administration.
  4. Identify and implement process improvements, reducing costs, improving product quality, and enhancing our competitive position.
  5. Ensure adherence to IT procedures and work closely with the PLM Leads and wider business to develop a roadmap that meets manufacturing objectives and key results.
  6. Liaise with the PLM Team to ensure joined-up thinking and development, and lead end-to-end user acceptance testing activities.
  7. Provide at-elbow support within Manufacturing, manage and develop training material, and work closely with colleagues across Williams to build and maintain credibility with stakeholders, users, and external organizations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential application and adherence to our digital strategy.
  9. Authorise and maintain system administration and end-user documentation.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in the Siemens PLM Teamcenter product suite, including Active Workspace, Visualization, NX, and Fibersim.
  2. Ability to develop and maintain software applications for the manufacturing group in C# or TCL languages.
  3. Familiarity with Siemens NX Application development is beneficial.
  4. Practical experience and understanding in composite manufacturing and assembly processes.
  5. Knowledge of CNC machining and programming techniques.
