Job Title:

Mechanical Build Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Build Engineer to join our team at Recruit Mint. As a Mechanical Build Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting engineers with mechanical breakdowns and collaborating closely with the Special Projects Director and the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Repair plant and machinery promptly and efficiently
  2. Execute machine changes correctly and swiftly, ensuring minimal downtime
  3. Optimize machinery productivity to meet production demands
  4. Investigate and prevent recurrence of complaints, ensuring high-quality output
  5. Complete required GMP documentation and maintain repair logs accurately
  6. Provide information for quotations, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  7. Attend and contribute to daily scheduling meetings, ensuring effective communication
  8. Assist with training and create training programs as needed, promoting knowledge sharing
  9. Implement and follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance System, ensuring proactive maintenance
  10. Maintain authorized spares stock and advise on needed spares, ensuring optimal inventory levels
  11. Monitor and control engineering subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work
  12. Train others as necessary, promoting a culture of continuous learning
Candidate Profile:
  • Engineering experience in a production environment; open to apprentice-trained candidates eager to learn
  • Background in Pharma, Food, or Packaging industries, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems
  • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
  • Proactive in improving line efficiencies, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Competent PC skills, with experience in GMP documentation and repair logs
  • Professional in handling production engineering issues, with excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented in finding engineering solutions, with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Flexible and initiative-driven, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
