Job DescriptionElectronics Design Lead
Melbreck Technical Recruitment Ltd is working with a large international, award-winning leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment. Due to a very successful two years and a large increase in work, they have identified the need to expand their production capacity, and as such are looking for an Electronics Design Lead to join the business.
Electronics Design Lead Role Overview:As an Electronics Design Lead, you will be reporting into the Technical Director and you will be responsible for the full design and development of all the business's hardware.
Electronics Design Lead Role Responsibilities:
  • Design and development of electronic hardware and systems from conception to manufacture.
  • Development of test specifications and procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and organize a small design team.
  • Provision of consultancy services to customers.
  • Support of production activities within the company to train and assist production staff where appropriate.
  • Documentation associated with products and services.
  • Direct customer support including site visits where appropriate.
Electronics Design Lead Candidate Requirements:
  • Digital electronic design/FPGA (Xilinx preferred).
  • Experience with image sensors and imaging systems.
  • Analogue electronic design.
  • PCB Layout (Altium Designer preferred).
  • Design for EMC.
  • Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Able to work to established ISO9001 quality system.
Electronics Design Lead Hours and Benefits:
  • £75,000 to £85,000 salary dependent on experience.
  • 4 day working week, Monday to Thursday.
  • Pension.
