Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - Defence

Smiths Detection is a leading provider of detection equipment for various industries, including Defence. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the Defence sector.

About the Role:

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration of digital solutions and systems for Defence projects. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement complex systems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital solutions and systems for Defence projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and test plans
  • Provide technical support and training to field service engineers
  • Ensure adherence to quality and regulatory standards
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the Defence sector
  • Expert knowledge of digital networked solutions and PLC automation
  • Strong understanding of VMware ESX and related technologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
