As a key member of our Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with diabetes in the North East London area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality retinal screening and photography services to patients with diabetes
  • Work unsupervised in a community-based environment, with support from team leaders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective screening protocols and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and technologies

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of diabetes and its complications
  • Ability to learn and use eye screening software and retinal camera equipment
