About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mental Health Lead Clinician to join our dynamic team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health service, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to our team of mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the mental health team, ensuring high-quality care and support for our service users.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each service user.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and effective.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and growth.
  • Collaborate with other teams and services to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to mental health care.
Requirements
  • Qualification in social work, nursing, or occupational therapy.
  • Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of working in community recovery or brief intervention services, treating and caring for individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.
  • Extensive experience of undertaking complex mental state assessments, risk, and needs assessments with service users.
  • Ability to provide managerial and clinical supervision to junior colleagues.
