Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Norbrook Laboratories Limited.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with in-house requirements, cGMP, and legal regulations/standards. This role will involve working closely with the batch release team to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of our products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform AQL sampling of finished products in accordance with ISO 2859-1 and in-house standard operating procedures.
  • Complete and review associated GMP documentation before forwarding to the batch release team.
  • Perform destructive testing in accordance with in-house standard operating procedures.
  • Report and handle finished products that fail to meet pre-set limits, including quarantine, re-inspections, and other necessary actions.
  • Report weekly quality issues to senior quality and production/packaging managers.
  • Assist the 100% vial inspectors with duties throughout the inspection, including moving pallets, verifying rejected vials, and classifying rejected vials.
  • Travel between sites to carry out duties as required by management.
  • Provide quality support and guidance to ensure all activities within the Vial Inspection Area are conducted in accordance with in-house procedures.
Essential Criteria:
  • Applicants must demonstrate a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent with passes in English and Maths Grade A-C.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and cGDP requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize their workload to ensure department targets are met.
  • Effective communication skills across a range of inter-departmental levels.
  • Ability to work a shift pattern.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Previous experience of quality assurance, including AQL inspections.
  • Previous experience of packaging/production operations.
  • Good knowledge of quality standards.
