Job Overview

The Training Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring employee training and development programs. This individual will assess the organization's needs, create curriculum, coordinate training sessions, and ensure all employees are equipped with the tools they need for success. The Training Manager will also work closely with department heads to identify skill gaps and provide tailored solutions for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Training Programs: Design, develop, and manage comprehensive training programs that align with company goals and employee development needs.
  • Needs Assessment: Conduct skills gap analysis and assess the current and future training requirements across departments.
  • Curriculum Design: Create effective learning modules, courses, and materials using a variety of methods, including workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training.
  • Facilitate Training: Lead and facilitate internal training sessions or coordinate external trainers and vendors to deliver specialized content.
  • Monitor and Evaluate: Track the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics. Modify programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Employee Development: Work closely with HR and department heads to provide coaching, mentoring, and individual development plans.
  • Compliance and Certification: Ensure all mandatory training programs (e.g., compliance, health and safety) are delivered on time and meet regulatory standards.
  • Budget Management: Manage the training budget, allocating resources efficiently and tracking costs.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest training trends, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance the organization's training capabilities.
  • Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with external training providers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Training Manager or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and budgeting.
  • Ability to assess training needs and design effective programs.
  • Knowledge of performance management and employee development strategies.
