Clinical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our Counselling and Practice team at EACH Counselling. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, and needs-led services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and direction to our Counselling and Support team, ensuring the smooth running of trainee/counsellor volunteering and peer-led programmes.
- Develop and implement clinical governance work, including internal meetings, clinical audits, actions, and reporting on progress.
- Design and deliver annual programmes of practice-based trainings and learning, ensuring our staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Recruit and manage external clinical supervisors, ensuring adequate supervision of our counsellors and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
- Provide clinical supervision and annual appraisals, as well as reflective practice, to support the development of our staff.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures relevant to clinical practice and therapeutic work, ensuring compliance with BACP and other professional bodies.
- Lead the clinical work within our social enterprise, Life Therapies, including assessments, allocations, clinical supervision, and caseload management.
- Registration and accreditation as a counsellor with a recognised professional body.
- Qualified to provide clinical supervision.
- Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Line management experience or experience of supervising work of other staff/volunteers within the health and social care or voluntary sector.
- Experience of working within service level agreements and contracts.
- Experience of providing structured counselling/psychotherapy within a recognised framework in a relevant field.
- Experience of developing and delivering training sessions, workshops, and positive team working.
