Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding primary school in Aintree. The school has made significant investments in its EYFS department, including the creation of an inspiring outdoor learning space and a dedicated Forest School.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting children in the EYFS, with a strong focus on delivering phonics interventions and facilitating learning within continuous provision. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children in the EYFS with their learning and development.
  • Deliver phonics interventions and facilitate learning within continuous provision.
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
  • Practice De-escalation and calming techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Hold a L2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Able to support children of all abilities.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
