About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualised easy read versions of care documentation to promote co-production with the people we support.
  • Complete speech and language assessment tools and analyse results under the supervision of the SLT.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a bank of communication-related documentation for the region.
  • Support staff training and development in communication approaches.
  • Provide high-quality written reports under the supervision of the SLT.
  • Attend regular clinical and service development meetings.
  • Contribute to audit and research initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals in a similar or related field.
  • Knowledge of communication approaches and legal frameworks relevant to the role.
  • Literacy and technology skills to create reports and utilise communication aid software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
