About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our Homecare team, working between Humber River Institute and Central Hospital of Hull. The successful candidate will have an NVQ level 2 qualification in pharmacy services and previous recent pharmacy experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacy Technical Team in the smooth running of the Pharmacy Homecare Service, including generating and receiving of Homecare purchase orders and reviewing homecare procedures as appropriate.
  • Process, reconcile, receipt, and dispense Homecare drugs, as well as process and produce documentation relating to Homecare deliveries in a timely fashion.
  • Support the Homecare team with the raising, monitoring of query responses, and ensuring resolution is sought with suppliers and clinical teams, maintaining supplier statements and monitoring debt levels.
  • Maintain and regularly update any Pharmacy Homecare service operating procedures under the direction of the Senior Technician.
  • Maintain skills in the dispensary and undertake regular dispensary sessions.
