Job Title: Accommodation Office Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accommodation Office Team Leader to join our team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Administration Service, you will play a vital role in leading and motivating our clinical administration teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the clinical administration pathway and experience of supervising a team. You will be responsible for overseeing outpatient clinics, inpatient waiting lists, and patient correspondence teams, ensuring high standards of operational integrity and identifying continuous service improvements.

You will work closely with the Hub manager to support their work and motivate your team to deliver the very best care for our patients. You may work at Castle Hill Hospital or HRI site.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has excellent communication skills. You will be able to analyse performance data, use your initiative, and think on your feet to solve problems and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate clinical administration teams to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Oversee outpatient clinics, inpatient waiting lists, and patient correspondence teams
  • Ensure high standards of operational integrity and identify continuous service improvements
  • Work closely with the Hub manager to support their work
  • Supervise a team and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
  • Good standard of higher education including GCSE level or equivalent, Maths and English Language
  • Level 4 qualification in Administration or management
  • Willing to work towards a level 4 qualification in Administration/Management/Team Leader
  • Experience of providing a service to patients/customers
  • Experience of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience of supervising a team
  • Understanding of the clinical administration pathway
  • Experience of conflict resolution
  • Experience of working within the General Data Protection Regulations 2018
  • Experience of using electronic systems
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Good organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Referral to Treatment rules and guidelines
  • Ability to prioritise team workload
  • Good understanding of the NHS agenda
  • Knowledge of, and adherence to, General Data Protection Regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to analyse data
