Job Summary:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a British Sign Language (BSL) qualification to provide 1:1 support for a delightful Year 1 child with hearing impairment at a school in a coastal town.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide BSL support to enable the child to communicate effectively in the classroom
  • Support the child's social and academic development
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements:

  • BSL qualification (Level 2 or higher)
  • Passion for working with children and supporting their individual needs
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant (beneficial but not essential)
