Role Overview
The effective management and maintenance of our transportation assets are crucial for the ongoing economic prosperity of the region.
In this position, you will conduct scheduled and on-demand evaluations of the roadway system, addressing urgent safety concerns and defects in line with established Highway Operational Standards. Your responsibilities will include gathering relevant evidence to substantiate inspections and providing insights regarding roadway conditions in response to external claims and insurance matters.
We seek an individual with a background in roadway upkeep and a solid technical grasp of highway systems. You will be tasked with overseeing maintenance projects, managing work orders, and handling correspondence within a designated geographical area.
You will assist the Team Leader and other management personnel within the Place & Sustainability department to achieve the objectives of the Council and Directorates through integrated service planning, community involvement, and the strategic allocation of resources.
