Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Merchandiser to join our team at our head office.

As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for range planning and monitoring the performance of Parts, Accessories, and Clothing (PAC) from our industry-leading cycling brands.

Your role will involve ensuring that these products appear in the right stores and website, at the right time, in the right quantities, and replenishment is monitored.

You will play a key role in maximizing profits by setting prices, managing performance, and planning promotions and markdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans.
  • Meet with suppliers and manage the distribution of stock, by negotiating best cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing timescales, and delivery dates, and completing the necessary paperwork.
  • Communicate product range plans to our Visual Merchandiser, Retail, Stock, and eCommerce teams.
  • Work with the Finance Director to forecast profits, sales, and plan budgets to control stock levels.
  • Maintain a comprehensive portfolio of range plan data.
  • Analyze the previous season's sales and report on the current season's lines at a weekly Buying and Merchandising meeting.
  • Analyze every aspect of bestsellers, ensuring that they reach their full potential, along with monitoring slow sellers. Plan promotions with the Marketing team and issue markdowns.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and cycle market trends.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in merchandising and/or retail/business management.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers.
