Job Summary
Conventus Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Systems Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will work on a variety of projects primarily in the Defence and Nuclear sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver safety-critical systems for our clients, working closely with them to understand their needs and requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with system and software safety standards such as BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C, BS EN 26262, Def Stan 00-55, Def Stan 00-66, and BS EN 50128.
- Conduct hazard identification and analysis techniques, including Functional Failure Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and SIL determination.
- Perform reviews of project artefacts, including hardware and software integration, to ensure safety and compliance.
- Produce project safety reviews and undertake and manage Safety Critical Risk Assessments (SCRA).
- Work in a Defence, Nuclear, or other Safety Critical sector, with experience in these areas preferred.
- Hold SC Clearance and be eligible to obtain DV Clearance.
Requirements
- Experience working on high SIL/DAL projects and producing documentation demonstrating compliance to safety standards.
- Skilled in hazard identification and analysis techniques.
- Capable of performing reviews of project artefacts.
- Producing project safety reviews.
- Undertake and manage Safety Critical Risk Assessments (SCRA).
- Experience of working in Defence, Nuclear, or other Safety Critical sectors is preferred.
- SC or DV Cleared.
