About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Lead to join our team at Detail2Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Electrical Maintenance Team: Collaborate with colleagues across engineering departments to plan and execute routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
  • Problem-Solving and Fault-Finding: Take ownership of complex problems and use appropriate fault-finding skills and tools to aid diagnosis.
  • Work Planning and Scheduling: Proactively work with resources within your team and other engineering departments to produce and implement work plan packs and schedules to maintain maximum efficiency of assets.
  • Technical Leadership: Function as a technical lead via decision-making and problem-solving, and reporting outcomes of investigations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintenance Planning: Estimate the total cost of each maintenance task/work order with respect to direct labour and materials, and consider the availability of special parts and tools.
  • Communication: Work with Production Planning and Management to create optimal maintenance and shutdown schedules, and communicate these to relevant teams.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing Experience: Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Time-Served Qualifications: Hold recognized qualifications in electrical engineering.
  • Heavy Manufacturing Experience: Experience in heavy manufacturing/engineering, with a strong understanding of core electrical principles and infrastructure.
  • Automation and Control: Understanding of automation, control, and instrumentation, including experience with variable speed drives.
  • Electrical Standards: Familiarity with relevant electrical and automation standards.
