Position Overview
The Heating Systems Maintenance Specialist will be tasked with executing both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks related to gas, plumbing, and mechanical systems across the Sewell Facilities Management portfolio. This role encompasses the upkeep and repair of heating systems, boilers, water heaters, and associated control mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct both reactive and planned maintenance for commercial heating and plumbing systems.
- Address urgent maintenance requests assigned by the Customer Care Team, ensuring all managed properties are upheld to high standards.
- Oversee and coordinate with external contractors as necessary to fulfill business requirements.
- Identify, document, and rectify defects, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards.
- Respond to emergency callouts as part of the on-call rotation.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a legally compliant property portfolio.

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid UK driving license
- Current domestic and commercial gas certifications
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proactive mindset towards maintenance tasks
- Strong communication skills for contractor interactions
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development
- Flexibility regarding working hours, including on-call duties
- Thorough understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable Qualifications:
- F-Gas certification
- Experience in fault finding and maintenance of heating systems
- Familiarity with air handling and fan coil units
- First aid certification
- Qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration
- 18th edition electrical certification
