About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mental health professional to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to women experiencing perinatal mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage a caseload of women experiencing perinatal mental health issues, providing evidence-based interventions and support.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including midwives, health visitors, and mental health colleagues, to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and implement care plans, taking into account the individual needs and circumstances of each woman.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to perinatal mental health care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Current professional registration with an approved professional body.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Key skills in literacy, numeracy, and IT (Q level 2 or equivalent).
  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area.
Desirable Qualities
  • Significant experience working with people with mental ill health in a care environment.
  • Providing clinical supervision to individuals or groups as professionally appropriate.
  • Leadership or management experience.
  • Significant experience working with people with mental ill health in a community environment.
