We are seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to enhance public engagement and volunteerism within our organization. Our mission is to promote better bone health across the nation and prevent osteoporosis through impactful initiatives and community outreach.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to serve as a key representative for our organization, overseeing engagement with individuals who have lived experiences and managing a diverse network of volunteers. Your efforts will be crucial in delivering support programs, co-developing services, and raising public awareness about osteoporosis.

As part of a central team and reporting to the Head of Volunteering & Public Engagement, you will be responsible for the effective management of volunteers throughout the UK. Your leadership will encompass the recruitment, training, and development of our volunteer advocates, including Patient Advocates and community representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for volunteers.
  • Implement training programs to enhance volunteer skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages volunteer engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Enhance the diversity and reach of our volunteer network.

Ideal candidates will possess experience in volunteer management, a strong understanding of co-production principles, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Your ability to engage with a variety of audiences will be essential in this role.
