Clinician for Youth Support Services
2 positions available | Permanent contracts | Full-time 37 hours per week | Salary range: £41,173 to £45,442 per annum (Grade K) | Norfolk region
Greetings, I am Daniel Reeve, the Team Manager for the Support for Success Team in the West & Breckland area.
Since our service went live in April 2021, we have cultivated strong partnerships with Team Managers across the West & Breckland area, alongside Foster Carers, Supervising Social Workers, and various professionals from diverse fields.
Our team specializes in crafting and delivering tailored support packages for young individuals, families, and professional networks surrounding the child. We focus on identifying both the expressed needs and the underlying issues, ensuring that our planning leads to effective intervention strategies aimed at enhancing stability, emotional health, and mental well-being for the young person.
We engage with young people who are in care or transitioning into care, collaborating with the In Care and Life Beyond Care teams, as well as the Children With Disabilities and Family Assessment & Safeguarding Teams.
Regular group supervisions are conducted to facilitate discussions regarding all young individuals, allowing us to brainstorm potential solutions for unmet needs. The Clinician role is pivotal in fostering deeper discussions and guiding the network in providing enhanced support for the young person, including consultations with key stakeholders to assess needs.
Clinicians dedicate approximately 10% of their time to direct intervention work, offer clinical supervision to team Practitioners, and assist the team in reflective thinking, generating innovative ideas for interventions or support during team discussions. They receive Clinical Supervision from the Clinical Psychologist and case management support from the Team Manager.
Our team is characterized by a supportive atmosphere, filled with dedicated individuals eager to assist one another and promote learning, critical thinking, and skill development throughout the team and the Norfolk region we serve.
Before proceeding with your application, we encourage you to thoroughly review the full job details to effectively demonstrate how you meet the criteria.
Here are some of the benefits you can enjoy by joining Norfolk County Council:
- Competitive salary
- Generous holiday entitlement with options to buy and sell leave
- Health and Wellbeing services, including fast-track physiotherapy and complimentary counselling services
- Flexible working arrangements, including options for flexi-time, part-time, remote, and hybrid working, depending on your role and business needs.
- Financial perks such as an employee discount program, relocation expenses (if applicable), and an advance on travel expenses for work-related travel. Additionally, a Local Government Pension Scheme with substantial employer contributions, life assurance, and dependants' pensions. You may also receive a payment for referring someone to a hard-to-fill position, along with tax-efficient options for enhancing your pension, acquiring new bicycles, and electric vehicles.
