Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to patients with complex needs
  • Assess and treat patients with motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, psychosocial, and occupational impairments
  • Develop and implement remedial and preventative treatment programs addressing motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, psychological, and occupational areas
  • Identify risks and complete risk assessments, implementing risk management strategies as needed
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care
  • Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants and technicians
  • Participate in clinical governance arrangements and quality agenda
  • Contribute to the development of services and standards according to occupational therapy objectives
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Band 5 occupational therapist in an acute physical setting
  • Concise and accurate report writing skills
  • Experience working with neurologically impaired patients
  • Ability to work autonomously, planning and prioritizing own workload
  • Good communication skills, adapting to barriers to communication
  • Experience supervising qualified staff or students
